The inaugural edition of the Sharjah Architecture Triennial spans across five venues in the center and outside of Sharjah with a total area of 14.450 m2 with a former fruit & vegetable market and school in the city of Sharjah being the main venues. Our approach to the exhibition design is based on a minimal intervention to celebrate the spatial characteristics of the venues as they are found and as the backdrop for a wide range of installations and exhibitions. Through specific interventions and furniture elements we introduce and contextualise this new overarching program into the city, in a flexible and resourceful manner.
