057, Atelier for two artists
This light-weight timber structure forms the ateliers for two artists under the arch of a former railway viaduct and explores a construction that is charmingly stripped down to its bare components. The floor plan is based on two identical units that are mirrored in both axises and that establish two identical facades, each addressing a different side of the arch. Like siamese twins these two ateliers form independent spaces each with their own entrance but yet they are intimately connected.
